Additional pregame notes

Some additional notes from pregame warm-ups.

-Air Force players are wearing white pants with no stripes, white jerseys with silver numbers outlined in blue and their black shoe/black sock combination.

-Coaches are back in their all-black ensembles.

-Utah players are in red jerseys and red pants with black shoes and black socks.

-Nice stadium. Beautiful view of the mountains to the east from the press box.

-One other thing about the stadium (which seats 45,017). There looks to be no more than 15 yards between the sideline and the stands, so the fans will be right on top of the action. It will be interesting to see how Air Force does with communication in this environment.

-If you were to draw up a middle linebacker, he’d probably look like Utah’s Joe Jiannoni. Six feet tall, 235 pounds, wearing No. 44. And he has a Mohawk.

-Tommy Grady, who will start at quarterback for Utah in place of the injured Brian Johnson, looks like he has NFL tools in warm-ups. He looks all of 6-foot-7 and 235, and his arm strength is impressive.
