Two for Hall

Air Force senior Chad Hall has been named the Mountain West Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.

No, this is not a recording.

Hall turned in a career-best rushing performance for the second consecutive week in last Saturday’s 45-21 victory over Colorado State.

And Monday, Hall was given conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week.

In Fort Collins against the Rams, Hall ran for an academy single-game record 256 yards on a career-high 31 carries (8.26 yards per carry). Hall broke former Falcon quarterback Dee Dowis’ record of 249 that Dowis set against San Diego State in 1989.

Hall, who has notched three straight 100-plus-yard rushing games against Colorado State, had 169 yards a week earlier against UNLV. He is the first Falcon non-quarterback with back-to-back 100-yard rushing games since fullback Jason Jones did it in 1991.

You should try to get a quote from Dee Dowis. Has Dee seen Hall play? Would he give him any pointers? Directions to the Downtown Athletic Club? Their both pretty soft spoken kids, from Georgia. Compare and Contrast. IMHO.....Hall probably is probably a faster and stronger runner than Dowis - but doesn't have near the wiggle.

Calhoun had lots of time to watch Dee (from the Bench). How would he compare the two.

Jake---
Is it my imagination, or are you posting fewer blog entries lately?
I sure miss your insight into practices and general comments on the "state of the team." We're in for an incredibly critical stretch run, and could use your banter---keep 'em coming! (Anxiously awaiting BlogDog's pick, by the way.) Does he get extra doggie treats if he's right?

Hi there -

No, it's not your imagination. I've been slacking on the blog - in part because of the start of basketball practice, but that's no excuse.
A hoops post will be up later tonight, and I'm going to make a renewed effort to get back to blogging if not daily then close to it.
BlogDog will make his choice tomorrow. And, yes, he gets a treat if he makes the right call!
